Brazos Valley Security

texas LTC

Texas License To Carry Handgun Class This is the course you have to take (and pass) to qualify for your Texas LTC (formerly Texas CHL or Concealed Handgun License prior to January 1, 2016).

We want to make it as easy as possible for you to attend this course, so we offer it around your schedule with small class sizes.  We do one-on-one, and group classes, one day or spread out over many, its up to you.  Other than the range qualification portion, any time, any place.  We can come to your home or office, etc.  Anywhere with ample space and resources.

We have a great group option for a one day class at Brazos Valley Security Academy near Wheelock, approximately 25 miles outside Bryan/College Station.  There is a small shooting range right outside the state of the art classroom, with beverages and a superb lunch provided.  Your group, your schedule.

(class size minimum 4 students, maximum 12)

We also have a fantastic classroom located at our offices (range to be determined) for evening, weekend, and split classes, in south College Station, Texas off FM 2154 (Wellborn Rd.)  across the railroad tracks from Hullabaloo Diner.

(class size up to 8 students)

PLEASE NOTE!

This NOT a firearm training course, it is a qualification course.  SAFE GUN HANDLING SKILLS ARE VERY IMPORTANT!

Students are required to arrive able to safely operate their handgun and demonstrate proficiency.  Must be able to safely handle, load, operate, and unload handgun of .32 calber or larger.

We are NOT ALLOWED to teach these skills in the range qualification/proficiency demonstration portions of this course.

While there is no perquisite for this course, if you feel(or we feel) you would benefit from formal training,

we do offer that and discounts to all current and returning students. We recommend anyone using a handgun have basic handgun training.

Due to the nature of this course, unless your are former military or law enforcement, we recommend at least Basic Defensive Pistol training.

It covers all the basics of safety and marksmanship, but we feel it is much more applicable to the students goals and better meets their

training needs regarding the defensive use of a handgun.  Again there is no prerequisite, and this is not required, just highly recommended.

To register send us an email with your contact information, course desired, date/schedule, location, and number of people (if group), to get the ball rolling and we will try to make it as painless as possible.
